nDAC 3.0 (Navigraph Digital Aeronautical Charts) is the professional way to search, download and manage your airport (terminal) and enroute charts.
The airport and enroute charts are downloaded and installed directly in the nDAC software. You can work with the desired charts within minutes - no need to wait for DVDs to arrive. The desired airport charts are selected for download in the Airport Index tab in the Download Manager. Similarly the enroute charts are available in the Enroute Chart Index tab.
When an airport has been downloaded and installed, it can be viewed in the Airport Charts tab. The airports are grouped under each country, and the charts appear as a list when an airport is clicked. There is also an option for creating routes between airports, as well as bookmarking and commenting the charts. The charts can also be printed, either individually or an entire airport at once.
The charts themselves can be zoomed, rotated, and adjusted in different ways. A box zoom tool is available aswell. The airport/chart list, toolbars and statusbars can be removed for maximum viewing area.
The result of the above box zoom shows that the charts, as they are vectorized, can be zoomed up to 6400% with a crisp and clear result!
New in nDAC 3 is the possibility to download and view professional enroute charts, from the same source as our airport charts. They can be zoomed, rotated and printed just like airport charts. There is even a small overview to show where you are currently looking on the enroute chart, as they are very large and detailed.
Another new feature in nDAC 3.0 is the Video Tutorials section. Professional video tutorials with audio commentary can be downloaded and viewed in the integrated video player. A valuable function for both novices and experts - there is always some knowledge that needs brushing up!
